There are many festivals and events that take place throughout the region during the year. Here are a few highlights.

Lake Diefenbaker transforms into the Wild West when the rodeo comes to town. A split second could very well mean the difference between finishing first in your event or missing out on the prize . . . welcome to the life of a rodeo contestant. The rodeo is always an exciting action-packed sport to watch and there are several opportunities to take one in during your stay at Diefenbaker.

The region also hosts many trade shows, dances and fundraiser's. The community of Loreburn has created the opportunity to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones and fight back against the disease. The Relay for Life has become an annual event for this community.

There are also many golf tournaments during the summer months as well as fishing derbies which take place all year around.
